It’s no wonder that anything referred to as nectar of the Gods should be found in large quantities in New Smyrna Beach! We’re talking wine here, so why not indulge in a taste? There are so many things to see and do in New Smyrna, including wine tastings…and they can be simply intoxicating while you are on vacation!
New Smyrna Beach’s Flagler Avenue Wine Walk is well-known around here and a place where you can stroll from delightful venue to venue to sample a lovely selection of wines along this charming, historic street!
And then there’s wine tasting of the home grown variety at Perrine’s Produce Port Orange and Ormond Beach locations. These are weekly events with a varied sampling and Perrine’s offers fun food samplings too, where you might try unique tasty treats like pineapple habanero dip or corn cob smoked bacon!
Or head over to the Flagler Beach Winery where you can sip on wine slushies on the outdoor patio with a beachfront view; or Off the Wall Art and Wine Gallery on the Causeway in New Smyrna Beach, where you can enjoy wine and shopping for whimsical home décor! Plus, The Chalice off Canal offers Tuesday Tastings with two whites (double the pleasure) and three reds (good things come in threes); and Crimson House, where wine tastings are paired with live music or stop by on Sangria Sunday!
Don’t forget the New Smyrna Beach Wine and Food Festival, which has been known to offer over 250 wine and food pairings from which to choose. The food is prepared by acclaimed local chefs and the event culminates at the world class Brennan Center overlooking New Smyrna’s scenic Intracoastal Waterway.
Just be sure to check on the scheduling of the wine tasting event you choose so that COVID doesn’t dampen your day!
