Is it a boater’s dream come true or a beach lover’s dream come true or an angler’s dream come true or a surfer’s dream come true…you get the idea! New Smyrna Beach is a dream come true for anyone who loves anything having to do with the sea! Plus, New Smyrna Beach offers so many amazing sights and fun attractions on land that anyone would be hard pressed to find the time for it all. Here are just a few of our favorites…

Flagler Avenue is a delightful beachside street with plenty of cool shops and eateries to keep everyone happy.

Smyrna Dunes Park, now with a new, wider boardwalk extending one and a half miles around New Smyrna’s northern tip, offers panoramic views and plenty of dog-friendly, waterfront fun. In fact, you may find it difficult to turn a corner in New Smyrna Beach without stumbling upon one of its many beautiful parks.

Perusing art galleries is also a lovely way to spend the day in New Smyrna Beach. Home to Atlantic Center for the Arts which offers a top-notch artist-in-residency program and art programming for the community as well, New Smyrna Beach prides itself on the artistic culture it provides. So stop by The Hub on Canal, The Boss Ross Art Workshop, Palms Up Pottery Studio, Galleria di Vetro or Jane’s Art Center…just to name a few!

If it’s museums that pique your interest, try the New Smyrna Museum of History or New Smyrna’s Surfing Museum.

Then there is Turtle Mound, the largest shell midden in the continental United States, which was created by the ancient Timucuan Indian tribe. You can tour this fascinating historic site by land or sea!

Canal Street, a quaint downtown area in New Smyrna Beach packed with locally owned boutiques and restaurants and even including an old fashioned creamery, is a stroll you will definitely enjoy.

Sugar Mill Ruins is a 17-acre historic site containing the ruins of a once thriving Sugar Mill which was attacked during the Seminole Wars.

Disappearing Island, long a local favorite for picnics and raucous cornhole games, can be easily found by boat if you choose your tides wisely!

To make sure that your fun lasts long enough, book your stay in a luxurious, ocean view Sandpiper Condominium.
