The doors and windows of the quaint retail shops along charming Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach are all decked out for the holidays and this time of year there is always something fun to do in weather that makes it all the more enjoyable.
Speaking of Canal Street, the main drag in New Smyrna’s Historic District, celebrates the holidays in style on November 25th from 5-7 p.m. with Christmas on Canal Street – a family friendly affair with live entertainment, a tree lighting ceremony, Santa’s grand entrance, as well as his workshop. Stores and restaurants also extend their hours to accommodate holiday revelers.
Then there is the Coastal Christmas Market on November 26th, brimming with beautiful gifts and holiday décor handcrafted by talented local artisans, will deliver 90 plus vendors, music, holiday demonstrations and dining opps while you shop!
Girls’ Night Out, a shopping event for the ages complete with live music and gift basket drawing, is scheduled for December 1st. The New Smyrna Beach Christmas Parade will take place December 3rd from 4-6:30 p.m. and its Holiday Boat Parade will occur at dusk on December 10th.
Spirited Flagler Avenue also doesn’t miss a beat with its Light up Flagler and Christmas Cookie Challenge event on December 3rd. This festive New Smyrna Beach holiday event promises a Pooch Parade, holiday crafts, entertainment and Santa of course, as well as a Merchants’ Open House with holiday specials and ceremonial Christmas lights all along your way!
