The doors and windows of the quaint retail shops along charming Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach are all decked out for the holidays and this time of year there is always something fun to do in weather that makes it all the more enjoyable.
Girls’ Night Out, a shopping event for the ages complete with live music and gift basket drawing, is scheduled for December 1st. The New Smyrna Beach Christmas Parade will take place December 3rd from 4-6:30 p.m. and its Holiday Boat Parade will occur at dusk on December 10th.
Spirited Flagler Avenue also doesn’t miss a beat with its Light up Flagler and Christmas Cookie Challenge event on December 3rd. This festive New Smyrna Beach holiday event promises a Pooch Parade, holiday crafts, entertainment and Santa of course, as well as a Merchants’ Open House with holiday specials and ceremonial Christmas lights all along your way!
The 44th Annual Port Orange Holiday Parade is scheduled for Sunday, December 4th at 2:00 p.m. The parade route starts at Jackson Street and will run east on Dunlawton Avenue to Spruce Creek Road.
Don’t forget, on December 10th, we’re sliding to the annual Slider Challenge along Flagler Avenue! From 1pm to 5pm along Flagler Avenue, patrons stroll the street to sample multiple styles of tasty sliders from host locations on Flagler Avenue.
