Have you ever wondered what its like to train in the armed forces of our country? Have you wondered whether or not you can handle the intensity of the exercise involved? Well, the Florida National Guard is taking advantage of New Smyrna Beach’s wonderful beaches to give everyone the chance to learn what its like to exercise the armed forces way.
The Beach Boot Camp Obstacle Course event is on June 27, 2015 from noon to 3pm. It will take place at the wonderful Flagler Avenue Beach/Boardwalk area. Registration is free and is done just by just walking up to the event and signing up!
But what is the Beach Boot Camp Obstacle Course?
The event’s participants will engage in a variety of different individual fitness challenges all part of an obstacle course based upon the actual US Army PT test! The course includes a shuttle run, pull ups, low crawl, tires, pushups, and sit ups. Florida National Guardsmen will be standing by for “extra motivation” as well!
You can just have fun and test yourself through the course. Though you can also compete against other in your age/gender divisions. (M/F, ages 12 and under; 13-18; 19-35; 36-50; and 51 and up.) There will be giveaways for all competitors and prizes for top finishers!
Come out and test your strength and maybe even compete against the others to get at those splendid prizes! Everyone is allowed to try their hand so get off your behind and challenge yourself at the New Smyrna Beach Boot Camp Obstacle Course!
