Looking for something different to do this summer? New Smyrna Beach offers a world of opportunities; and if you are looking to fulfill a need for speed, try a visit to New Smyrna Speedway!
Every Saturday night, drivers compete on New Smyrna Speedway’s half-mile asphalt race track, and quarter midget races take place every Friday night in the New Smyrna Speedway – fondly referred to by fans as little New Smyrna Speedway.
New Smyrna Speedway is also the annual host of The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing during Speedweek, which has drawn NASCAR’s finest including Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Mark Martin and more! In fact, Geoff Bodine and Ryan Newman each won at this event before they raced on to victory at the Daytona 500.
Top drivers hailing from across the country also take part in New Smyrna Speedway’s annual Red Eye 50/50 in January, an event in which points are earned toward the annual national and Florida state championships.
The Governor’s Cup, which was launched in 1988, is also hosted each November by the New Smyrna Speedway.
