Prepare to be dazzled by the spectacular sights and sounds of the holiday season. It’s almost time for the New Smyrna Beach Christmas parades!
New Smyrna Beach kicks off its annual Christmas parade, which will be themed “Candy Canes and Christmas Carols,” at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 3rd. Your favorite Christmas tunes will be carried by carolers and marching bands, and dance troupes and floats lavishly decorated for the season will add holiday flair. Horses will clippity clop down the streets and, without a doubt, Santa will make a miraculous appearance. This merry band of seasonal sprites will travel the Waterfront Loop along Canal Street’s Historic District. It begins at the intersection of Flagler Avenue and South Atlantic, travels west along Flagler Avenue and the North Causeway, south on Riverside Drive and west onto Canal Street.
The 2016 Annual Christmas Boat Parade follows at dusk in Riverside Park at the end of Canal Street. Gorgeous Christmas lights will reflect off the New Smyrna Beach waterways and your favorite Christmas songs will be playing on extravagantly decorated vessels during this magnificent floating holiday display. It’s an incredible event, so come out and enjoy the holiday merriment. It’s great fun for the entire family from beginning to end.
