If you are a mover and shaker – like to see live performances, enjoy delicious dining experiences and a good party, you are going to love New Smyrna Beach (NSB)! New Smyrna Beach is a small town with historic charm and a big heart. The beachside fun is endless and the events throughout the entire year are a blast! Here are just some of the 2017 NSB events that residents and visitors can enjoy:

The 41st Annual Festival of the Arts will be held January 27th through the 29th at Riverview Park and Canal Street. Weekend festivities include fabulous art displays by over 230 talented artists, live music, a student art exhibit, a creative education tent, food court and more!

Then don’t miss the Chowder Festival January 31st! Over 30 chowder chefs will fill both sides of Flagler Avenue and compete with a culinary cook-off of extraordinary proportions!

Get ready to party on Fat Tuesday because there will be a Mardi Gras parade and party without compare. Flagler Avenue will be bursting with great Mardi Gras-themed food and music, and prizes will be awarded for best float, parade marchers and vehicles.

More than 250 artisans and crafters, food vendors and live entertainers will attend the NSB Art Fiesta February 18-19 at Old Fort Park on Julia Street; and a stilt walker, face painter and balloon artist will be on hand to delight countless children.

Get your groove on for the New Smyrna Beach Blues Festival in May – a four-day event where soulful sounds flow through the streets. Revelers can take in scores of bands in multiple locations throughout town.

The Seaside Fiesta takes place beachside on Flagler Avenue in June, and features live entertainment, arts and crafts booths, great food, games and more! Many Flagler Avenue merchants join in the festivities with special sales and activities.

Sample delicious seafood from Volusia’s best restaurants, and enjoy live entertainment at New Smyrna Beach’s Annual Shrimp and Seafood Festival in August. There will also be a “Best on the Beach” contest in which prizes are awarded in shrimp, shellfish, fish and specialty seafood categories.

Monthly events in NSB, include the Wine Walk – a progressive wine tasting event in which participants can explore over 100 wines within local pubs, restaurants and galleries; and classic car shows that absolutely any motor enthusiast would enjoy!
